in your feed
videos in your grid play silently on a loop while they are on screen. in the 2 and 3 column grids postpalm uses small, quiet copies of each video so scrolling stays smooth. in the list layout and when you open a post, the original video is used.
your music keeps playing
because feed videos are silent, music or a podcast from another app is not interrupted while you scroll.
unmuting
when you open a video and turn the sound on, other apps' audio pauses so you can hear it. when you mute again, or close the video, postpalm lets the other audio resume.
- use the speaker button to mute or unmute.
- every video starts muted until you unmute it.
full-screen videos
single videos open in a full-screen player. swipe away (up, down or to the right) or tap back to return to your feed, and the video glides back into its card.
videos that won't play
some videos from instagram use a format iphones can't play. postpalm converts them while saving. a video that still can't be played is not saved, so you never get a blank card. if a card is blank, delete it and save the post again.
videos moved to the cloud
on a paid plan, older videos can move to the cloud to free space. a card then shows a still picture. open it and the video downloads back to your phone. see cloud backup.
