guide/introduction

getting started

from download to your first saved post in about a minute.

on this page

what you need

  • an iphone running a current version of ios.
  • an internet connection while you save (saved posts open offline afterwards).
  • an account: sign in with apple, with google, or with your email.

sign in

open postpalm and choose how to sign in:

  • sign in with apple: the quickest. you can choose to hide your email.
  • sign in with google: use your google account.
  • email: enter your address and postpalm sends you a short code. type the code in the app. there is no password to remember.

after the first sign in, a short intro walks you through the app and asks whether you want notifications.

why an account?

an account lets postpalm count your free saves, restore a paid plan, and, on paid plans, back your library up to the cloud. your saved posts themselves stay on your phone.

save your first post

  1. open a post in instagram, tiktok, x, reddit or another supported app.
  2. tap share, then choose postpalm.
  3. wait a moment while the post is saved. you will see saved! and get a notification.
  4. open postpalm. your post is at the top of your home feed.
postpalm missing from the share sheet?

scroll to the end of the row of apps in the share sheet, tap more, and switch postpalm on. you only need to do this once.

tap add link on the home screen, paste the post's link, and tap add. it saves the same way as sharing.

open it offline

turn on airplane mode and open postpalm. everything you saved still opens, plays and scrolls, because the files are on your phone.

the free plan

every account can save 10 posts every month. the count starts fresh each month and unused saves do not carry over. when you reach the limit, postpalm tells you and shows the paid plans. everything you already saved stays yours. see pricing and plans.

next steps

important

postpalm saves public posts only. it can't open private accounts, and it never asks for anyone's password.
